A Good Time Was Had By All!!!! 40th Reunion - 11
10/18/04     Ann Gardner  (1964)      agardner1@martinsville.k12.va.us
Dear Dawgs!!! We had the very best time ever at the our 40th reunion weekend. Although the weather was a bit windy, about 12 of us were at the football game, which the Bulldogs won (44-26)Then we went to Rania's Restaurant, located at what we remember as Mitchell-Howell Ford show room. As Billy Cotty later said,"It is the first time I could enjoy a good meal and have my oil changed at the same time." Getting back to the game, the ladies of our class looked especially lovely in their Homecoming Mum corsages which were donated to our class by Janet Love Campbell from her new florist shop, Simply The Best... They do beautiful arrangements and send flowers where ever you want them sent.(276)666-BEST Saturday, the Old Dawgs ofCleveland Avenue which was held at the old MHS cafeteria and that was great fun. There we saw 3classmates who have never been to a reunion until this weekend:Noel Reed, Susan Culbertson, and Betty Jo Campbell. Susan and Noel joined us Saturday night at the Gala Billy Nease & Billy Cotty Barbecue which was wonderful, fun, and delicious. Bill Cotty, our class president, was the MC again, and had us all introduce ourselves and tell about what was going on in our lives. Of course, there were jokes and cracks made by Bill and quite a few others which were all in good fun and made us all laugh again and again.

To you who attended, It was so great to see all of you and your spouses...I feel like I was swept back in time...All of you looked so handsome and beautiful to me...You have not aged one bit..Thank you for making this weekend the very best!!!

To those who were unable to attend, We really missed you all and hope you will be able to join us in two or three years when we have another class of '64 Reunion..We decided that 5 years is too far away, and we want to see everyone as often as possible.
In the mean time, I am going to send you a questionaire to find outwhat time of year you would prefer to have a reunion, and what kind of activities you might prefer if they are different from the ones we have been having. Happy Holidays including Halloween
to all. Let me hear from you... Yours in the Power of the Bulldog Spirit,
Ann Carter and Dink Gardner
