REUNION - 11

Friends in the MAVAHI Class of 1964

Mark your calendars
June 21 ? 23, 2002
REUNION

That?s right, not 2004, not 2003, next year.

We, Jean Branham Reid and Jennifer Hill Pendleton, thought Ann Carter and Dink had planned, hosted, and delivered the reunion for long enough so we offered to take over the work for the next one. They graciously accepted. We didn?t want to wait until 2004 (we never were too good in math) so, next year it is. We have a planning committee in place and are making plans for a 1964 reunion on the weekend of June 21-23, 2002.

We have only picked the date and are working on the festivities. We?d like someone in Martinsville to agree to host or plan a Friday night event. We would include the costs in the weekend ticket price. The committee is open to suggestions about what kind of event this should be.

We?re thinking that it would be fun during the day on Saturday to have an informal gathering at Fairy Stone Park where we could all bring a picnic and renew old friendships.

Saturday night we would have a dinner dance where the best dancers ever will once again take the floor.

Sunday morning we will gather one final time at a local restaurant to have breakfast together.

Please let us know what you think and what your preferences are.

We have a Mavahi64 web site under construction that will include all of the plans as they materialize and much more. We plan to link it to mavahi.com, a website created by Will and John Franck for all mavahi alumni. We can all post messages there and answer posted messages. Check out www.mavahi.com.

We are also building a database that should include everyone?s addresses, phone numbers (land, mobile, fax), email, spouse, etc. Please email all of your pertinent information or corrections to friends@mavahi64.com or send to one of the addresses below. Our primary method of communication will be email and internet postings. If you don?t have email or easy internet access, please tell us so we can mail information to you.

We are also including a list of names of classmates for whom we have no current information. Please email or send any information you may have for these people so we can contact them. We want to include as many people as possible.

Let?s go Bulldogs, are you with us? This will be so much fun.
