Six years later, and I learned from MISS Marshall (shame on you Townesy, for modernizing that lady into a Ms.!). I learned to yawn with my mouth closed...being short AND nearsighted, of course I was on the front row. And discovered pretty quickly that to yawn in her class was a sign of boredom, and you WERE NOT bored in her class!! But I do think her teaching, and lack of tolerance for anything but my VERY BEST made me what I am. I know that when I see people today, especially those younger than me, I think to myself, "I am part of the last generation to get an EXCELLENT education in a public high school."
