Have fun, but.... - 15
05/04/06     Bob White  (1968)      quailster@msn.com
As my fellow classmates begin the journey towards a weekend of fond memories and frivolity, I wish you nothing but the best; and am really sorry that I will not be there for this one. As you make your way towards that little village set in the foothills of the great natural beauty of the Blue Ridge, I hope you take a chance to reflect on how your time will be spent. Remember the critical role we played in providing appropriate academic role models for the youngsters in the Class of '69, and how we provided a much needed example of moderation for those folks a year ahead of us in '67. Perhaps a good approach would be to take the Saturday evening gathering at Forest Park, and use it as a time to break into small focus groups to reflect on the cultural dynamics of those last years of the turbulent 1960's. Then the groups could come together to present their findings in a neatly typed, double-spaced report of at least 20,000 words, or maybe you all could dance the night away. Either way, I hope that in the end "a good time was had by all", and be sure to take plenty of good pictures.
