What kind of friends are these??? - 15
02/14/07     Bob White  (1968)      quailster@msn.com
I must say I am sorely disappointed. A few years ago one of my fellow Tar Heels had the decency to use his position as ACC Commissioner to bring virtually unknown Virginia Tech into the lofty atmosphere of The Atlantic Coast Conference. I thought it was pretty clear that this was done in recognition of the Hokies prowess on the gridiron. How did they reward us??.....By showing total disregard for the legend that is Tar Heel basketball, that is how. I would have hoped that they took notice that we did not get in their way in football.

I have ordered that the names of any '68 Mavahian's that chose to matriculate in Blacksburg be stricken from any documents and yearbooks in my house. I would also request that when planning the next reunion that we have a special table for them, so it will be easier for me to shun them.

I will close by saying that any team that can beat The Heels twice, and also beat both Duke and Carolina on the road, deserves a top 10 ranking. Congratulations folks!
