09/08/06     Ella Hairston  (1982)      sedaoh@yahoo.com
Hi classmates! This is Ella Hairston. I am alive and well, residing in Greensboro, NC. I have been in my teaching career since college graduation. I ran into Jackie Sanders and she told me about this site, so I am just "posting in".

I teach at GTCC in the English Department. I owe a lot of my love for teaching to Mrs. Hairston who taught us at Mavahi. Sadly, she passed away about 2 years ago. My Mom also passed away, going on 2 years in November.

My sons are Dance and Avery, ages 9 and 12; and my princess Olivia is 5 and started kindergarten this year. We have a unique bond as they have all had to help me through my health issues. Many of you know already that I was in a car accident in 1986 that almost took my life. Since then though, God has healed me to where I am indeed a walking miracle. I do,however, have one diagnosis which remains from the blood transfusion I received. I have Hepatitis C which is treatable with chemotherapy. For today, life is great and I take each moment as it comes, looking for its' longevity, and I learn to not take life for granted.

I am looking forward to seeing you all at our class reunion next year. Feel free to email me. May God continue to bless and keep us all!
