Re: Our "adopted" Classmate, Bill Wade - 3
09/28/16     Esther Sparks Powell  (1956)      bhpowell36@yahoo.com
Just heard sad news from Barbara Wade letting me know that Bill had passed away. Here is part of her message:

"Bill passed away last Sat., Sept. 24. He had been going down hill for quite sometime and had been in hospice care for a few weeks. He fought a good fight even the last day, but God decided he needed him. I know you know how much Bill enjoyed the ole Dogs and loved being a part of your class. Please do share the news."

Bill really did love coming to the "Old Dawgs" and our class of '56 reunions every five years. He and Barbara would drive from
Tennessee to them. The last class reunion was our 50th, I believe, and there were a few "Old Dawgs" after that before he began to have his failing health. We still kept in touch and Barbara would tell me that he enjoyed hearing about who was at our 55th reunion and who would be at each of the "Old Dawgs" that he was having to miss.

Bill had a great sense of humor and it was always a lot of fun to be seated with him and Barbara at any of the reunions.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Wade family.
