The funeral for Alfred Earl Inge Sr., 57, of 706 Melody Lane, Martinsville, who died March 1, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hines Funeral Services with Elder Alan Preston officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends for a half-hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Inge was born in Martinsville on Aug. 25, 1953, to Charlie J. Inge Sr. of Martinsville and Elizabeth Grant Inge. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Felix Inge and Edward L. Inge.
He worked at Georgia Pacific for 20 years before becoming disabled.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are three sons, Alfred E. Inge Jr. of Martinsville, Antonio L. Inge of Chesapeake and Deon Inge of Rustburg; one sister, Brenda L. Inge of Martinsville; one brother, Charlie J. Inge Jr. of Martinsville; and six grandchildren.
