We lost a great teacher and a great man when Chester Lane, who taught in Martinsville for 40 years, died September ll. I am sure that many in our class recall how Chester Lane cared deeply for his students and all students. He ran the Industrial Arts Department. David Sparks paid a very fitting tribute to him in the Martinsville Bulletin.
Chester Lane was a kind, gentle man made us all better because he set such a fine example -- an example of being a real Christian man. |
