I was so saddened to hear that we have lost Lonnie Carter. I am several years older than Lonnie. He was a sweet child and grew up to also be a nice adult. He attended most of the "Old Dawgs" reunions, and I always looked forward to getting to see him each year. My sympathy to his sisters, Joyce and Brenda, as well as his other family members.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, but here is the brief notice that was on the Martinsville Daily website today:
Lonnie Herman Carter, 71, of 1119 Corn Tassel Trail Martinsville, VA passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Norris Funeral Services Inc. and Crematory Martinsville, VA, is handling the arrangements |
