Cannot begin to express to you the sadness and pain I feel at the sudden and unexpected passing of my beloved brother Tommy Sale on July 16, 2008. Death was instantaneous due to a massive heart attack while jogging. Though Tommy and I were never the closest of friends, we loved one another and he remains my "Big Brother" though a part of me is gone now.
Tommy would have graduated with the class of '64 had he not dropped out the beginning of his senior year. He then entered the U. S. Army and grew into his own man with his devoted wife Sandra Spraker Sale by his side for over 41 years. Their son Jerome and daughter Robin love him dearly and are coping with the loss of their daddy.
During the visitation, the main theme I heard from his co-workers and closests friends was he made them laugh and they enjoyed being around him. That knowledge of him brings much comfort to our mother and me.
Love to each of you,
Tommy's Little Sister

Jackie, so sorry to hear of your lost. I didn't know Tommy very well, but it's sad anytime we lose a loved one and another member of our Old Dawg's classmates... God Bless his family and yours.... |

Re: Remembering My Brother Tommy Sale |
Jackie, I'm so sorry to hear about Tommy - I left Martinsville in 1986, and this is first time I've had time to check the school website. It's so difficult and sad when you loose someone you love. My prayers and thoughts go out to you and your Mom.
With great sympathy,
Debi Blackard Chase |
