Dear Classmates,
Today, we lost one of the most brilliant lights of our class, Jinky, following a courageous battle with cancer. She will be remembered by all of us as a positive energetic, beautiful person with a love for Mavahi, and all of us who went there from 1959-1964 (we were all at the old M'ville Jr. High in '59 in the 8th Grade). The echo of her infectious laughter remains in the halls of MHS on Cleveland Avenue. She also served MHS, tirelessly and devotedly, as Secretary to the Principal: first at the Martinsville Jr. High for several years, and then at MHS on Commonwealth Blvd., when Mrs. Crotty retired six or seven years ago.
She was loved by all of us who were her classmates, as well as all those students who knew and loved her at MHS during the years she was the secretary in the administrative office.
Shine forth, bright candle; we will see your beams as we gaze into the sky on clear starry nights. You will be the brightest and most beautiful of all.

I will miss Jinky we went to Joseph Martin together she was always very friendly to me as well as everyone else she came in contact with. I feel as though I have lost a friend indeed because I named our daughter Jennifer Joan after Jinky. Farewell friend till we meet again. |
