Today, my beautiful yellow Lab Lilly died. She was just nine years old. Complications from an infection. I never thought I could love a dog that much. She was quirky, athletic, affectionate, and very intelligent.
My Black Lab and Golden retriever don't understand where she is. Lilly was always the leader of the pack. Thought I would share this with all of you. I know some of you will understand my grief. I will miss my Lilly very much. |

Re: My beautiful Lilly |
I feel your pain Ken, a dog is truly your best friend, they love you without reservation, they forgive you when you do not deserve it, they will die for you if need be.
The poet Rod Mckuen once wrote: fear not the end for everything has a beginning and an end; rather enjoy the journey.

Re: My beautiful Lilly |
Hi...two classes behind you. So, so sorry about Lilly! I rescue greyhounds and am a big animal lover! I'm raising my fourth one now. Lost three to cancer. Breaks me every time. My love and thoughts are with you today. So glad you have wonderful company left. My girl is nine and I've told our vet...when she goes...I go. He says it probably won't work out that way. But oh if it could!! |
