| June 4th, 2018 James Ivan "Bud" Sparks Class of 1964 passed away after a long and debilitating illness. He was undergoing palliative care at a facility in Roanoke, VA. Bud had been one of Glen Harding's successes from the MHS Trade School. He retired from Pannel Knitting then Dan River Mills. He was a top mechanic and maintenance man at both places. |

| James was a very talented tradesman. There wasn't anything he couldn't do. I haven't seen Bud in years, but I always remember him as a gentle soul who was always friendly to everybody. My condolences to his family. God bless you Bud... |
