What sad news greeted us today at the beginning of January 3, 2019, of the passing of our friend and classmate, Andy Geoghegan, last night. Whether we knew him well, or just slightly in our class of '64, we regarded him as a friend who was always happy to greet us with a smile and a friendly word. Andy, you were a light that shined on us all as we walked through the halls of Mavahi and as we remember you since grade school. You were the positive energy who never met a stranger. You touched us so happily, yet gently, with a kindness that was extraordinary. We shall long remember the love you showed us through the years, with your friendly good nature, and positive uplifting energy during those memorable moments whenever we were together...A Harp has been added to the many musical instruments with which you entertained us through the years, as we ran along Main Street or Church Street cheering the MHS Marching Band with you leading the way in your beautiful white drum major's hat keeping time with the drummers whom you so proudly led. We will keep you in our hearts, dear friend: You were the BEST. Rest well... March On! |
