Ellie, my sweet Golden Retreiver was delivered to dog heaven today at 4:15pm. She was 11 years old. She was diagnosed with liver cancer. God never created a more gentle loving K9 companion. She was the last of the original "Dogs of Auburn Place." Lilly and Lucy proceeded her in 2018 and 2019. I will miss her very much. She slept by my bedside every night. We still have Jack, our Black Lab,he will miss her too. I went to the field today without Ellie by my side. I carried her tennis balls with me and threw them like I always do,to the middle of the field. They'll stay where they stopped rolling. They'll always remind me how lucky I was to have her in my life. |

Re: My dog Ellie |
Sorry for your loss. I understand how a four legged friend can be a big part of your life. I have lost several over the years. |

Re: My dog Ellie |
Ken: Myra and I feel your pain. We have an Elle, too. She's a Schnauzer and she's 98 years old -- in dog years. We've laid about 3 dogs to rest during our 54-year marriage. And life tells us it won't be long for our Elle. But there's another dog waiting in the wings -- a 2-year-old Standard Poodle named "Beau." Elle despises him. You never forget your dogs -- especially our "Bulldogs." |
