| I've just returned to Raleigh from our glorious 3-day reunion and wanted to express my appreciation to all those who attended, some at great sacrifice for the distance they travelled and expenses incurred. I think the consensus is we all had a ball! From the wonderful BBQ at Ken and Barbie Nease's, the tour of the old high school on Saturday (which I didn't attend but heard it was a great time and trip back to 1964), the buffet dinner and dance at the Bassett Country Club, to breakfast Sunday at Shoney's. The weather was splendid for the entire weekend. Everyone looked terrific (absolutely none of us has aged!) and the love simply flowed from one classmate to another! Truly! As Billy Cotty said in his (mostly hillarious) talk to us, this was really a special time and we are a special group, richly blessed to have the bonds that brings us back to these events. Hopefully there will be many more and those of you who couldn't make it this time, please plan on attending the next one. You won't be sorry. |
