It was a sad event when I clicked on the Martinsville Bulletin Obituary only to learn of the passing of a sweet and kind soul. I have known Doris Stanley Mason for many years. She was a great girl. Bill (I will always know him as Butch) was a lucky guy to have married Doris. I remember when they were dating and one time Butch gave me a ride heading into town. I think she made him give me the ride. I know of very few couples that have loved each other any more than those two. The past several years Doris and her sister have devoted their love and attention to her Mom who has been in declining health and in need of constant care. I have met Doris's son before and he is a super nice guy. I can think of few people I hold in any higher esteem than Doris. My prayers are with her family now. God bless her kind heart.
