Thanks to David Sparks for his response. He and I attended the same church as children and are now brothers in Christ.
NEXT: While reading a novel in our "POWER" reading class, I came upon the phrase "duking it out". I wanted to tell my class where that phrase came from. Can anyone tell me why men call their fists "dukes"? Jerry |

Jerry, I too keep comming back to this site just to read. As I have sent befor, I now have 9 grandchildren, hoping when these 2 kids I have now will sometime in the future bring me some more. All my friends at work say I have enough, I say "BULL". Having kids has kept me busy and most of the time healthy. I'll be over @ MAVAHI during the soccer season as both my kids play for Tunstall. I must admit everytime I'm over ther I scan the stands looking for old classmates. If you come to our game ,just look for a white goateed man hollering support and pacing up and down. My wife just said "look for an old fart drinking alot of coffee and having a ball. Luv to All Richard Eames ""64"" |

Richard, Thanks for the reply. Enjoying sports with the family is kind of like reliving our childhood. Watching the kids having fun and remembering how that felt...wow! I can feel the excitement from your writing. Having something to enjoy and be excited about. I am for it!!!!
You know, we talk a lot about 1964, but there
were lots of school years we enjoyed, even elementary. We had choir, band, sports, and even square dancing at Clearview, not to mention Mrs. Kesler who came it for religious training. Jerry |
