Re: getting old |
Hello, William (Bum-Bum): Long time since South Martinsville, Clearview and Mavahi. Nice of you to write to all of your fellow 61ers. Before I could get use to 60 here comes 61.
Glad you are well.
Are you still in Martinsville? What has been your history? Those old days seem longer and longer ago. My mother, two sisters and one brother still live in Martinsville.
Seems I remember you having a sister or cousin that was in school with us??????? I live in Gainesville, Ga. with my wife of, soon, 38 years. We raised two sons who also live here.
One of Gainesville's attractions is Lake Lanier which sprawls through much of the county. When I came here the county population was near 65,000. Now it is close to 170,000. The Atlanta Falcons' training facility is also in this county.
Let us hear from you. Jerry |
