This 45th reunion of the Class of '65 was awesome (for lack of a better word). The entire weekend had everyone smiling and enjoying seeing old friends.
No matter where life has taken each of us, we all have one common bond. MAVAHI. In this bond there are threads that bind us all together but we don't all share the same threads. All of our threads are different from each other but thay all go into that common bond. While sitting, I was watching and listening to everyone. The smiles and wide eyed excitement when they would see someone they have not seen since the last reunion or longer was joyous to watch. Listening to stories of things of old was sweet sounds of memories. These meetings and stories were those threads being reinforced or made new. I formed one new thread by finding out how Frank L Willard got his nickname. Now that is a thread that he and I share. Many, many threads make up this bond and that bond is very strong which will not easily be broken. I am proud to say that I am a member of the elite Class of '65 and share some threads in our common bond.
No matter where life continues to take us, we can follow our threads back to one thing - the Class of '65 with the friends and memories each of us have made.
