Robert Nelson's funeral - 12

Several of the Class of 65 attended Robert's funeral today. Mark Ivy (Lay Minister and Old Dawg class of 64) did a superb Eulogy for Robert he also assisted Rev. John Fulcher (class of 69) in what was an excellent and befitting tribute to Robert's life, legacy and homecoming. Robert's Mother was able to attend. She is "97". Kathy Mitchell (Rice), Debbie Simpson, Linda Brown Koger, David Nelson(Robert's cousin), Archie Thomasson and I were there from Class of 65. Karen Hensley (Class of 66) and several others were there as well. He had stated his goal was to make it to the 50th reunion and he fought one big battle in his attempt to do so. Please, let's remember his Mother in our prayers.
