I hope to see more messages on this site from the class of '65 soon. We are old enough now to sit back once in a while from a busy schedule and catch up on old friends. Unfortunately our latest news was the lost of another classmate, Bobby Taylor. But we still have lots of spunk left in these 55 year-old-bodies. Get with it. Let's keep in touch. |

Re: We need to talk more |
I went to Bobby's funeral...saw his sister Anita and brother Jim. Mortality is slipping up on all of us. The old saying 'tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life' echoes more each day. Another C-Death....I would like to see someone in Martinsville address all of the C-deaths. I was told in confidence by a very well placed official that it was airborne in the 50's, and that yes, Martinsville was a known carcinogen 'hot spot'. He said it was the furniture factories....Look at all the young people that we have known...Cutch...Whitey...Clay...Bobby, and I could, as we all, could go on for an endless procession of 'great people' caught up in a problem that no one wants to acknowledge ever existed.....Archie
