On December 13, I fell off a ladder and shattered my heel. Needless to say, I am stuck in bed, and bored. Also taking an occassional pain pill...so uinhibited as well. Have been emailing with Jim Weaver and Larry Lynch. Jim and I were just talking about lunch at MAVAHI...Houses' Coffee Shop...a run to the Pythian Building, a stop at Squirrel's Pool room, and back on time, (45 Minutes, I think) Long time since '65, but somehow you never forget your oldest times, and friends...I just wanted to send a message to 'wish all of you a Happy and Prosperous New Year, may your families be healthy, and May this be the best year of your life.' I have two grandkids...Zachary Davidson, 14 months, and Ella Thomasson 3 months, and even with the accident, I am the luckiest man alive....God has truly blessed me and my family.
If you should feel the inclination, as Charlotta last said....this class site has died...let your classmatetes know what if happening in your life.......Archie |

Archie, good to see your mail. In regards to Squirrel's Pool Room. One of first things on my list to put in our new house years ago was a pool table. I told my two sons about Squirrel's and how after each game was completed, we would hit our pool ques against the floor and yell " rack 'em , Squirrel". They told me recently that they had everyone saying that phrase in one of the local resturants where they use to play after each game was completed . Best wishes, Jerry |

Jerry, I, too have a pool table in my house...My son still sees red, when I beat him, hit my stick, and yell, Squirrel, rack-em.....the problem is probably that he doesn't know who 'squirrel' is, and resents his scrawny father calling him 'Squirrel'...and that, my friend, is a private joke, reserved only to those of us lucky enough to grow up in Mayberry in the 60's .....archie |

HELLO |
Archie, My early stomping grounds were up Liberty Street and right on Greyson St. Most of my neighborhood friends were in the class of '65. Did you know Alvin Weaver, Louis Lovell, Larry Dillon or Page Minter. We had the grandest baseball-football field to play in in front of Alvin's house on Liberty street close to the city limits. My Dad's cabinet shop was a little ways out on Figsboro Road-----right at Custer's grocery----good 'ole Homer Custer. Lot of great summers in those days. Jerry |

Knew them all, Jerry, good guys. Talked with Jim Weaver yesterday, said that he will see Alvin next week. That he had had heart surgery, but was doing well.....archie |
