The class of 1964 is getting ahead of us, so I will throw a question into the site....With the events of Sept. 11, I am sure that the students on that day will have an indelible fixation of where they were, and what they were doing when they first heard about the events of that day. I will never forget Nov. 22, 1963. I was in Ms. Hylton's Typing class, just after lunch (5th period,I believe)when rumors started. And just before the end of that period, Frosty, or Mr. Stack confirmed our greatest fear. I can still see Ms. Hylton, tears in her eyes, afraid for what might happen to this great nation. We survived, maybe a little older, and less trusting, as I know the students of today will...but 38 years from today they will still be able to tell their children where they were on Sept. 11.

| I remember both days |
| I,too, sat in Miss Hilton's typing class on the day in 1963 and have never forgotten it. I was on the teacher side of the desk in 2001 when I first heard of the attrocities inflicted on our nation. It was and still is a challenge to all of us to remember and become stronger in spite of those who try to make us afraid. |

| Archie, thanks for the gentle reminder. I actually don't remember what class I was in at the moment I heard the news (somehow I think I was in US History) but I surely remember the day. I also remember watching the TV the day they were moving Oswald to another prison and Jack Ruby shot him. All of this came back to me as I have tried to unravel this latest tragedy in our lives. I still sit on pins and needles wondering what will happen next. Take care. |

| I knew that I knew you also, but could not put the pieces together. You are Ron Poff's brother, who also worked at Lee's. I delivered papers in downtown Mville., and finished my route at Lee's, where I would BS with you, Ron, or Jim every day.
