Coach Mel Cartwright passed away last weekend. I'm sure every one of you have a story to tell about him. He was a great man and a role model for many of us lost youth. I think what he did most was teach us all how to win. From the basketball team to individual behavior he taught us how to feel like and be winners.

I REMEMBER COACH C. CAUGHT RICKY HINES AND ME HOLDING HANDS ONCE IN THE HALL AND HE TOLD US THERE WAS A TIME AND PLACE FOR EVERYTHING!!! HE WAS OUR HERO, NOT ONLY WITH THE BASKETBALL TEAM, BUT AS TEACHER, FRIEND, AND LEADER. HE WILL SURELY BE MISSED BY SO MANY.
