Your classmate Norma Jane Haynes passed away on June 7, 2016. Her obituary follows:
Norma Jane Haddaway, 67, passed away June 7, 2016. Born on August 28, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Janie Adkins Haynes. After graduating High School, she worked in the local hospital before marrying her husband Frank Haddaway in 1970. Norma loved flowers and gardening, cross stitching, ceramics, and piano; but, most importantly she loved people. Caring for others was her true passion. She was a member of Gateway Free Will Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 45 years, Frank Haddaway; children, Matthew Haddaway and his wife Andrezza, and Melissa Dougherty and her husband Brad; grandchildren, Meckensie and Jesse Dougherty; brother, Lambert Haynes; nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00am at Gateway Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Brent Patrick officiating, burial following at Horton Military Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 – 8:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Please visit www.AltmeyerFH.com to offer a note of condolence to the family.
