| Yesterday, Jennifer and I went to the Haleakala crater in Maui. I saw a woman that looked like Cathy Brookman (Simmons). I stared until I had to go up and say hello. It was Cathy. Go figure. Mavahi is everywhere. It was great to see her and Doug. We also saw Doug Calaman in Michigan in June and Bob White in New Mexico in September. (These meetings were planned.) We hope that you all have a great Christmas.    |

| I never see anyone I know when I travel, not even at the beach! The time my family and I went to Haleakala it was soooo foggy we didn't get a good view. I hope you and Jennifer get over to the Big Island to see the live volcano Kilauea. We walked over lava for well over an hour and came face to face with flowing lava. If we had had marshmallows we could have roasted them. This was one of the greatest experiences. If you go, PLEASE take plenty of water as you will get thirsty after the long walk, then again, the flow may now be much closer than when we were there a few years ago. Have fun!! Don't forget to take the Road to Hana, so much to see along the way. |
