I was able to attend Miss Powell's funeral yesterday in Lawrenceville, VA along with Betsy Gravely. We, I guess, by default were representing the students and faculty of Mavahi. The service was very nice and the pastor of Miss Powell's church titled her remarks, "Mary Jane's Final Lecture".
I signed the book for all of us____ "Mavahi Class of '68". |

| Thanks Sam! Just as Chris Foster stated in an earlier message, Mary Jane Powell made many of our classmates what they are today. We were so lucky to have her guide us into our High School years. |
