| I haven't been to this site for a while! Lots of catching up to do. But, I wanted everyone to know that my hip replacement was a huge success. I was up and walking just a few hours after surgery and climbing stairs the next day. A minor set back from the drugs they gave me in the hospital but after than it's all been good. I'm walking around pain free now and have enjoyed chasing my grandchildren around already and getting stronger every day! Anyone needing a hip replacement should check into the "anterior approach" - it's fairly new and not offered everywhere - but the recovery is so quick with very little discomfort. I had mine at Emory where they have one doctor who does it and the special million dollar table necessary but there may be others, too. Thanks to everyone who called, sent cards or messages. Ya'll are great friends and I love you all! |

So very glad to hear you are up and running again!! I will keep this in my fading memory bank for surgeries with positive results. That list is short so far.... You are such an inspiration for all of us to follow- thanks for being a leader!! Love you, Townes
