Our classmate, Jack Turner, has passed away. I don't know many of the details but you can email Will if you want as he probably has the latest news. Sorry I don't have any information about where his family is or anything but wanted everyone to know that he is another of friends who has left us. We all must keep each other close as we never know when our time might be up. That goes for your family and other friends as well. Tell everyone that you love that you love them every chance you get. You can never say it too much. Love all of you and please pray for Jack's family. |

Re: Jack Turner |
I have wondered about Jack over the years, and had asked Marshall Pinkard about him on several occasions; but he seemed to have just fallen off the face of the earth. He was the prototypical guy with the twinkle in his eye who always had the look of knowing something that you did not know. He took a lot of my money playing poker in the summers of '70 and '71. Along with John Whitlow he figured out how to get 4 aces and a king every time at the arcade poker game in Myrtle Beach, an accomplishment at the time that seemed like pure genius to me. I'm not sure I ever saw him again after the summer of '71, but somehow I feel a loss knowing that he is gone. May he rest in peace. |
