Just read in Martinsviille Bulletin that Miss Anthony passed away at the age of 91.

I have many fond and some not so fond memories of Miss Anthony (she told me to be quiet in the library when I had something really important to tell Molly Jo or Pat).

| I have spent most of my adult life working with Maximum Security felons in correctional settings and violent street gang members in the community. Martha Anthony remains one of the few people of whom I was truly afraid. However, even in those days the fact that she loved and cared for all of us was pretty clear, and she will be missed. What a character. |
