Dear Classmates,
My family and I were so touched by your many expressions of sympathy and by the lovely floral arrangement the Class of '68 sent when Mom died on January 31. Mom (Louise Henry Acker, Class of '26) just loved hostessing the party at our reunion last May. She delighted in seeing those of you who could attend, and she was both surprised and tickled that she received so many thank you notes. When Stephen Lester's dad died in mid-January, I went to his funeral and visited later with both Stephen and Will Gravely. Stephen's parents had attended the party at our house, and they loved seeing everyone. His mother remarked again how much it meant for them to see Stephen's friends. His parents, by the way, still don't know about his activities at Myrtle Beach during senior year. Mums the word...My love to everyone and thank you again.
