Sue lost her wonderful mother on June 12th. For those of us who still live in Martinsville, visitation is Friday, June 13th from 6 to 8 at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home. This is from the Martinsville Bulletin:

The funeral for Frances Self Warren, 86, of Surfside Beach, S.C., formerly of Martinsville, who died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, S.C., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville. The Rev. Dr. David Adkins will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She was born in Henry County on June 25, 1921, to John M. Self and Pearl Wood Self. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Thomas Warren; five sisters, Hilda S. Wells, Lucille S. Stadler, Helen S. Murphy, Gladys S. Harlow and Addie S. Chappell; and five brothers, Aubrey L. Self, Claude V. Self, Thomas Self, John M. Self Jr. and James Robert Self.
She retired from Tultex, and she was a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue W. Sheffield of Murrells Inlet; two sons, Frank Thomas Warren Jr. of Surfside Beach and David Lee Warren of Lynchburg; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruth S. Richardson, Roxie Ann S. Richardson and Elsie S. Joyce, all of Martinsville. |

| Thank you Bill. It was good to see you and Ruth,I only wish it had been under different conditions...It was good to see Merilyn too..I miss all of my friends..it has been a ruff week,but seeing you guys there really helped! |
