| There's an interesting discussion on the Class of 70s message board about race relations at MHS in the early 70s. Some of you may want to chime in. I keep thinking the world has changed, maybe in some places... Might be an interesting topic to discuss at our 40th reunion. How did being in the first fully integrated class at Martinsville High School affect your life and attitudes? |

| I don't remember there being any problems when our schools were combined. I made new friends that had attended Carver and we are still friends as far as I know If I run into anyone from school days black or white we still talk not only about when we were in school, but about our life now. If you're friends what does the color of someones skin make. We are all GOD's children if he doesn't make a difference why should we. |
