Following is a message my brother posted in the general message section of this website today and think it is appropriate:
As members of an elite group, you attended school in Martinsville,Va., you should think of your old home town every once in a while. How could you help it out? Quite a few of you will not make an effort to attend your class reunions because of different reasons. It may be that your classes have quit having them. Contact others from your class about having one. Contact your class president about it. If you can't get one started you can always attend the "ole Dawgs" reunion, which is held every year for the purpose of seeing old school mates from the Cleveland Ave "MAVAHI". Are you needed? You betcha. Just coming back for a visit helps the economy and renews old friendships. Ever meet an old classmate or friend and the conversation gets around to "remember when we" and what ever happened to. Then you remember the fun and you feel better. I'm asking you to help and come back for a visit. The few dollars you spend is cheap for the renewed memories and you have helped the economy of the town where you got your start. Post your views and questions on this web site and wait for the fun to start. Thank you.
