Just heard from my Mother-in-Law in Martinsville. Mike Smart died last Sunday. Many of us knew him from Patrick Henry Elementary and Martinsville Jr. HS....he moved to the Eden area and graduated down there in 1973. Mike attended a couple of our MHS '73 Reunions.

We went to a lot of movies together when we were kids, usually at the Rives Theater...he was crazy about Elvis pictures, and always invited me to the Dupont Christmas Movie Saturday thing they used to do for the kids.

RIP, my friend.
