| It is with sad news to hear that Don Goin, father of David Goin has passed away. Many of you will remember him from working with the city and with all of the athletic venues as Ref and Ump. Don was a super nice guy and all of us who played on the various sports growing up remember Don and wishh his family well. |

You hit the nail on the head. Don Goins, or "Pooh-Pooh," as we called him, was a great guy. He cared about kids and invested a lot of time in helping youth. People like Don behind the scenes were instrumental in the success that the Martinsville athletes and teams had during the Bulldogs' heyday.
Condolences to the family on Don's passing. |
