Looks like the message board has fizzled out somewhat. That is too bad. When I first saw this site, I thought many people would stay in touch through it. That does not seem to be the case, but it is never too late to get it restarted. Lets get it going again as our 30th anniversary is nearing.
For me, I am living in Fredericickburg, VA and manage a law firm in Washington, DC. I am married and have a 14 year old daughter who is keeping me busier than a one armed paper hanger. All is good. I plan on retiring from here as soon as my daughter gets out of college and probably moving to the Carolina's or maybe back to M'Ville. Anyway, write and let me know how you guys are doing.
Take care.

Re: Class of 76 (where are you???) |
Hey everyone. I check the message board from time to time but I never seem to have time to respond.
I can't believe it's been almost 30 years! When we were 18 we thought that was so far away. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys.
I've been married for 25 years and have two daughters that are 23 and 20. The older of the two graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts in 2004 and will be getting married next April. The youngest is attending UNC-Greensboro studying exercise and sports science.
I work at First Citizens Bank in Rural Hall, North Carolina and I have several more years before I could even think about retiring. Girls are very expensive!
That's all for now. See you next year. |

Hi Jeff,
I kind of quit checking after awhile...Not sure many people would remember me anyway. But I am much the same...still running...competing..every distance....
Just celebrated my 22nd wedding anniversary and have four daughters...yeah Jennifer...girls are expensive.
My oldest is a senior in high school...not sure what she'll be doing next year...now I'm back in school again trying to decide what I'll be when I grow up...if I grow up..
I have lived in Washington state for about 25 years now.
Have a wonderful holiday. Hope more people write.

Dhahran, Saudi Arabia |
I've been working with Saudi Aramco (big oil) in the gulf region since the last class reunion.
Stephanie and the kids are here too. Ben is a Life Scout in 9th grade. Ginny is our musical 7th grader and Lizzie is our 4th grade cutie.
Life in Dhahran is very much like Martinsville used to be in the 60's -- small, safe, and lots of engineers to make sure things work right.
We've had security issues through the last four years, but not any more than many places in the States. We are treated with courtesy and feel welcome in the kingdom. Aramco does a very good job on this topic.
We make it back to the States each summer and always visit Martinsville. I am looking forward to the next reunion.
Merry Christmas to all and have a happy new year! |
