Hi everyone,
Hope all is well for you wherever you are. Just thought I'd let you know what happened to me and my ankles after the reunion. Remember my graceful fall! :0 We thought I just badly sprained them both. Unfortunately after two months the right one did not improve at all. Had xrays done in Chicago while Rich attended a class there for six weeks. Told me good news and bad news: Not broken but I needed surgery right away. told him it would have to wait until we arrived in Rhode Island (new duty station)
Eventually I had two screws and a plate inserted Jan. 3. Now 3 1/2 months later I'm in physical therapy and will be probably for a few more months. At least I don't use the crutches much anymore. Was really getting tired of those things.
Sorry for the long story - but thank you for everyone's help at the picnic and for the prayers that I know were sent up for me. Wish I could have attended the dinner and dance. Sounded like it was a good time. Thanks to all. Take care!

Thanks for keeping us updated. I thought you would have been well & on your way by now. I guess as we age, those aches & bruises that we use to get, are harder to heal. Hate to admit it, but we're getting older. Good luck with the ankles & please continue with updates |

Oh Sherry I am so sorry that you have had to go through so much with your ankle. I am glad that things are getting better for you!! It was so great to see you guys and I wish you all the best!!!!! I hope that everything continues to improve and that life will get back to normal for you!! It is great hearing from you and I hope that the rest of your family is doing well!! Take care of yourself and I look forward to hearing from you again soon! I apologize for not responding sooner, but I don't look on this site as much as I did.
