Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been to the site, but my world has been turned upside down, and I am just recovering from the thrill ride!! :) My job here in Pittsburgh was down sized due to some political stuff, (I never thought that I was part of the political machine) and they did away with my entire program. The only people left standing were the mayor and his director for youth policy. Everyone else was either laid off or relocated like me. I guess i should just be lucky to have a job. I'm planning on being in the big city this weekend, (the ville) so if anyone wants to hang out and maybe drink a few (no such thing) Corona, give me a call 276-638-2783. I haven't been home since April 2003. Well, I thought I would just say hello to everyone. Please keep me and mine in your prayer as I will always have you guys in mine. If you are ever in Pgh., give me a holler - 412-952-6769. GO PIRATES!! Yeah, I know they suck, but what the hey. Can't beat cold beer, roasted peanuts and professional base ball!! :) Peace. |

Thanx Laura. No my "old" friend, you have the best attitude!!! But we all have issues in life that we must deal with. I was telling someone here in Pittsburgh, that we have to play the game with the hand we were delt!! No matter what! But thanx for the words of encouragement. I too will keep you and yours in my prayers, as I will for all of our classmates. I was talking to this guy the other day and he was talking about playing in the marching band and how cool it was when he was in H.S. I thought it was cool being in the marching band too. We had the most fun!!! Probably to much!! Again, thanx. Peace. |

Hey, Mark,
With the economy the way it has been for us common folk, yes you should be extremely grateful to have a job. I'm sitting here now at a temp job (been here for a week now). I haven't worked a "real job" since May 2003 and have three kids to try to raise off nothing, nada, ziltch!!!!! Figure that one out for me. My daughter just graduated from high school and is enrolled in a community college in Salisbury. If nothing good is going for me within the next two years here in Greensboro after my oldest son graduates, I'm outta here!!!! I'm packing up all my junk, my youngest son, and getting the heck out of Dodge!!
I do have some businesses that I would like to open, but I've got to do some serious research to find some grant money to get them off the ground. I want to open a home for the homeless (been there, there now, if I repeat again, I'm going to explode), an affordable spa for the common folk, and I have some books that I would like to have published in the future (poetry and children's, novels to come later). |
