Let me add my voice to cries of "Hooray!"...Friday and Saturday were very special...meeting Kathy Smith Sim's husband Turk and their son was wonderful, seeing Naomi and Marsha Cahill and Lee Lester and Steve Pharr after 20 years, and dancing with Audrey and Jackie C. was great...oh yeah, and the scotch wasn't half bad either, 'til the hangover on Sunday's plane ride home, but I made it...quietly, with my sunglasses on the whole way, like you're s'posed to do in LA...
Many thanks and congratulations to all who helped make the Class of '83's 20th a wonderful success. I too am looking forward to the 25th, at which point I will strive regain my 10th reunion title of "Most Changed" back from Mr. Pace, although what I can do differently by then I have no idea :)
I hope those of you that I reconnected with will stay in touch, as I will try to do. And of course, if any of you find your way to Los Angeles, please let me know as I would love to get together.
Best to all,
John Jackman

John, it was good to see you at the reunion. Just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers with the fires and everything. My timing is off, but I will be out your way at our Downey facility the week of 11/17 and the week of 12/15. Hopefully I can catch up with you then - take care. |

Hi Thalya...would love to see you out here. I'm out of town on the 20th and 21st of November, but if you're here earlier in the week, perhaps we could have dinner? Let me know your schedule.
The fires have been quite a spectacle...LA is in no danger, but it is all around us...the temperature dropped and we even got a little rain yesterday and today, which is helping quite a bit. Of course, air quality is not great and the sky is a bit orangey-brown, but things are on the upswing.
I hope we can connect when you're out this way! |
