So sad to report that we have lost another 1956 class member. Ken was such a nice and friendly guy. He and Donna were a sweet couple and always such a pleasure to run into. My deepest and sincere sympathy to Donna and family.
Kenneth Hunt Engle Obituary
Kenneth “Ken” Hunt Engle, 87, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1937, to the late Luther Aubry Engle, Jr. and Kathleen Newman Engle. In addition to his parents Ken was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Betsy Morris and June Newman Engle.
Ken was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, worked with the youth as a grandparent, served as a greeter for many years, and was a faithful member of the Victory in Jesus Sunday School Class. Ken and Donna went on several mission trips with the church. He enjoyed gardening but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by wife Donna Witt Engle; daughters, Tammy Engle Rorrer (Philip) and Andrea Engle Wrightenberry (Joey); brother, Joe Engle; brother-in-law, Ralph Morris; grandchildren, Barry Joyce, II (Leah), Parker Joyce (Mattie), Tyler Joyce (Kristen), Nicholas Wrightenberry, and Katelyn Wrightenberry; six great-grandchildren; and special niece and nephew Kim and Ronnie Belcher.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 31, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Pastor Randy Aldridge and Pastor Doug Ramsey will be officiating the service.
