Have to admit that I can't picture everyone (that yearbook would be helpful if I could find it), but it's fun to hear where you all are.
I posted earlier, but here's my update. I'm in Delaware, married 8 years, 2 children (daughter stillborn in 1999, son born in 2000). I earned a B.A. in public policy and an M.A. in communication before figuring out that what I really want to do is be a mom. I'm enjoying it (although John's right - it can be exhausting!).
A 20 year reunion would be great - who's in charge of that? Anyone still live in Martinsville???
Well, it's past my bedtime. Take care, all.

Re: Glad to see more of you |
Jenn,
I'm sorry to hear about your daughter being stillborn. I can't quite imagine what it is like to lose a child, and be honest, I don't want to. I've always considered that the one thing I don't think I could ever get over.
I joined the Navy right after graduating High School, got stationed in Norfolk, and didn't have the good sense to leave the area once my hitch was up. Stayed out here to go to college; graduated with a degree in Biology in 1995 (sure am glad I took the advise of that guidance counselor who told me what a waste of time a Computer Scienc degree would be). Failed miserably as a life insurance salesman, hated working in allied health, and wound up working with computers for a living. The wife and the three kids I think I already talked about in previous posts. So how did you wind up in Delaware?
I was considering e-mailing everyone who posted to the site about doing a 20 year reunion...just to check out interest. (Did you go to the 10 year reunion? Did you know that there was a 10 year reunion?) We'll see if I get motivated in the next few months or not.
Take care; nice to hear everyone's making a life.

Re: Glad to see more of you |
Hi John. Thanks for your note. We definitely miss having Amanda here with us. Congratulations on your family. It sounds like you all are doing well. Kids take a lot of energy, but give a lot in return.
As for DE, they paid for my grad school, so we came here. We almost went to Syracuse instead. It probably would have been a better program for me, but I'm not sure the debt would have been worth it. After all, being a mother is what I really enjoy doing, and that doesn't require any degree. We like it here and don't have plans to move any time soon.
I didn't make the 10 year reunion. My hubby couldn't go with me, and I didn't want to go alone. Margaret Adams and I talked about going together, but she couldn't make it in the end. I'd like to attend a 20 year reunion. A little more notice would be helpful.
I hope you enjoy your job. My husband teaches and consults for a computer training company. It's not his ideal job, but he's happy enough for now.
Take care. |

Did you say 20 year reunion? God, I feel old. But, it's totally fun to hear all the stories of everyone adventuring around, etc...
