It is with sad heart that I report that Lloyd lost his battle to cancer Saturday night, April 24, 2004. Visitation will be at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Main St.,
Gretna, Va. on Monday night. Funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, with burial in Mount
Herman Baptist Church cemetery at Bassett, Va.

I wish to join Esther in acknowledging the
death of our life long friend, Dr. Lloyd
Lawrence. It is a great lose to us. Esther
and I "hailed" from Jones Creek - as Dr.
Lawrence did - we grew up together there.
If anyone doubts the importance of school
reunions - let them look at the fact that
the 'Old Dawgs reunion of Oct, 2003, gave
us our last chance to see Dr. Lloyd
Lawrence. I will forever be indebted to the
'Old Dawgs committee for making that possi-
ble. Please - join us in praying for Dr.
Lawrence's family and loved ones. Lloyd is
gone but will never be forgotten. |
