I didn't know Ralph, but I read his posts, and appreciated his insight on others. I read of his passing, and could not find an obit in the Bulletin...maybe this will express a Mavahi farewell to his family....

MIFFLIN Ralph E. Pruitt Sr., 67, of Mifflin, died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at Lewistown Hospital.
He was born March 31, 1938, in Danville, Va., the son of the late Levona (Martin) and Clyde Pruitt. His wife, Edna J. (Swartz) Pruitt, survives.
Also surviving are: seven children, Debra Pruitt, Mifflin, Rhonda Stucker, Yankton, S.D., Ralph Pruitt Jr., Randy Pruitt, both of Lewistown, Angela Taylor, Mifflintown, Melissa Taylor, Mifflin, and Richard Taylor Jr., East Waterford; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Dylan, Preston, Brooke, Aaron and Mallory; a brother, Claude Pruitt, Md.; and an aunt, Mrs. Myrtle Gilreath, Danville, Va.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Clifford Pruitt.
Mr. Pruitt had been sanitation manager at Empire Kosher for 20 years and worked as a clerk/typist at the Navy Depot, Mechanicsburg, retiring after 10 years.
He served in the United States Air Force for 12 years.
He greatly enjoyed his grandchildren, as well as his computer, fishing and golf.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Brenda Gill officiating. Interment will be in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
There will be a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110; or the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Ave., Building D-101, Altoona, PA 16601.

Thanks, Archie for letting us know about Ralph's death. This will truly be a loss to many of us. We always enjoyed his sweet spirit and ability to get us all communicating with one another. He will truly be missed. |
