Passing of Tommy Swain - 4

I was saddened to read in the Martinsville Bulletin last week that Tommy Swain had died. Tommy attended all the "Old Dawgs" reunions and I, for one, will miss seeing him there. My sympathy to his family. Here is an excerpt of his obit. A memorial service for Thomas â€œTommyâ€� Conn Swain, 66, of 1402 Chatham Road, Martinsville, who died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, was held at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Martinsville. Swain was born in Martinsville, on July 8, 1940, and was the son of the late Lloyd S. Swain and Kathleen Norman Robinson Swain. He received a bachelorâ€™s degree in physiology from Ferrum College; served in the Army; and retired as an electrician from Fieldcrest Mills. His survivors are one sister, Sylvia S. Gore of Cedar Point, N.C.; and two nephews.
