This is a little late, but I thought there might be those who did not recognize that this was Eldean from your class of '58.
Erma Eldean Robertson Mills, 75, of Trinity Terrace, Martinsville, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at home. She was born September 15, 1940, in Martinsville, to Arnetta Robertson and the late Harry Robertson. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School and worked at Centel as a telephone operator after her graduation. She was active at both Rich Acres Baptist Church and Fontaine Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Mills was a cancer survivor and actively supported and worked with area cancer patients. She was co-owner with her husband of Mills Garage where she served as bookkeeper.
Eldean treasured and loved family and friends and is survived by her mother, her husband, Robert E. Mills; two sons, Robert Keith Mills and his wife Diana of Martinsville and Eddy Dean Mills and wife Jacqueline of Kernersville, NC; three brothers, C. J. Robertson and wife Myrtle, Wayne Robertson and wife Mary and Harry “Willie” Robertson and wife Sarah, all of Martinsville; nephews Tim, Ricky, Kevin and Kirk; and four grandchildren, Matthew and Zachery Mills of Martinsville and Jordyn and Jena Reisenauer, of Kernersville.
Eldean’s family would like to thank Gail, Joyce and Amanda for the loving care they provided during her last days.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Gary Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 prior to the service and other times at the home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
