I am sad to report that my cousin, Michael (Maxey) Powell, Class of 1955, passed away in New York City on July 17, 2016. He was an accomplished playwright, actor, and director. His graveside service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11 AM at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville. Deepest sympathy to Linnie Owen, his sister, and to his nieces and nephew who survive.

| I'm so sorry to hear this. Maxey was my friend in the arts and my date to the senior prom. I've thought of him and his marvelous talent and passion for the theater so often over the years. (I entered Mavahi in my senior year, as "the yank" from Buffalo, so I didn't make it into the yearbook.) |
