I've never met you, but after reading all these messages, I know it's been my loss.
What a wonderful influence you've had on your students -- and obviously for their children. The love you have for teaching and for young people, as well as the obvious deep affection you've always had for your students, is a gift you've given to Martinsville and the surrounding area. How lucky they are!
I hope that one day I'll have the pleasure and priviledge of meeting you. |

Barbara,
I'm sure you don't remember me, but I played trombone in the band from 56 to 59. I think you were a majorette. You were one of the beautiful Upperclassmen gals we freshman and sophs had secret crushes on.
